~Not Quite Jobless~

In the last month or so I have attended i think 4 interviews. I am officially sick of them and I have one critical one to ace tomorrow. Have finally been offered a job and am due to start on the 25th of July, and the co is starting to chase me for my contract. why hesitate you ask? well.. while i was waiting to hear from News (the co im going to start working with), I was preparing my application to IBM. when i got the News job, i just sent in my IBM application on a whim (dint read through or get kj to proof read) and suddenly got a call from IBM few weeks back and attended 1st interview last week and am due to go meet the hiring manager tomorrow. according to HR manager is very particular (i read that as fussy) and HR doesent really know what i'm walking into tomorrow. just a 30 - 1 hr interview. ho hum.. i gotta make a decision by friday coz i've been holding on to my News contract for about 2 weeks now!

accenture asked me for the final (3rd)interview just to call me back in 3 hours to tell me that the position is withdrawn in sydney (yes i asked if it was filled or withdrawn) and then i see an ad for accenture NSW on a few days later.. those ppl are mean!! if they dint want me don't make me all happy for 3 hours! also attended an interview in balmain for Tax R&D accountant.. the views from the office were spectacular (its right at the waters edge and i could see the harbour bridge out the window) but then for the first time in my life i turned down the 2nd interview (or any interview for that matter). i dint want to waste their time (4 panel interview!!) as I know im not interested in going all over au finding out about different cos R&D to get tax consessions. and also i was lazy to prepare for role playing and case study that was supposed to be the 2nd interview! =p

i know it all sounds ho hum.. but omg.. for ONE year i've been looking.. finally .. FINALLY i get some results! so let me rant.. it felt so good to wake up on weekends, do what i want and not feel guilty that im not rushing to apply for jobs!

still got one more week of work before bro comes over and i get a few days off before i start at news.. im hoping IBM goes well tomorrow! WISH ME LUCK!
